HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero, the studio's latest gacha action RPG, has amassed a pretty impressive number of downloads worldwide in just a couple of days.
Speaking on X (formerly Twitter), HoYoverse revealed this weekend that Zenless Zone Zero downloads have topped 50 million around the world "since its release". That's pretty impressive given that the game launched on July 4th.
The dev team says that although it's grateful for the support it's received thus far, it's also aware that "there are still lots of improvements to be made", and so it encourages players to provide feedback via the in-game Feedback menu.
As a thank-you for the download milestone, HoYoverse has also granted a free gift of 1,600 Polychrome to Zenless Zone Zero players.
If you want to receive this gift, you'll have to reach Inter-Knot Level 1 or higher before Version 1.1 is released, although since there's no official release date for that update yet, you've likely got a little while to claim your reward.
Zenless Zone Zero is the latest gacha action RPG from Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail developer HoYoverse. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the game sees players delving into anomalies known as Hollows in order to dispatch monsters and gather resources.
The game uses a similar gacha system to Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, although a number of the game's drop rates are higher, perhaps indicating that HoYoverse wants to experiment with more forgiving and free-to-play-friendly gacha systems in future.
Where Zenless Zone Zero differs from previous HoYoverse games is in its emphasis on urban fantasy and its hack-and-slash-inspired combat, which feels closer to Devil May Cry or a Platinum game than to, say, Honkai: Star Rail's turn-based approach.
If you'd like to check out Zenless Zone Zero for yourself, you can do so right now on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices.
We've also got some guides to help you get started in the game, so make sure you check them out if you want to learn all about the game's currency, how to modify W-Engines, or how to promote your characters.
