Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Book Announcements
In an official press release, Wizards of the Coast announced the release dates of several Dungeons & Dragons 2024 products. Said products include officially licensed footwear and apparel by Converse, an official Lego Ideas building set, and Pop-Tarts.
But the biggest draw for TTRPG fans are official release dates for new Dungeons & Dragons books.
The first of these books is Vecna: Eve of Ruin. It is an epic level 10-20 campaign where your adventurers travel across the D&D multiverse, from Forgotten Realms to Ravenloft to Planescape and beyond, to stop The Undying King Vecna from bringing ruin to all worlds. This adventure is set to release on May 21.
The second book is all about the inception and history of D&D. The aptly titled The Making of Original Dungeons & Dragons will include a curated collection of published fanzine and magazine articles tied to the original edition. These documents include Gary Gygax's never-before-seen first draft of D&D from 1973.
All of these documents are introduced, described, and woven into a cohesive story by Jon Peterson, author of similar TTRPG history books like Game Wizards and The Elusive Shift. The Making of Original Dungeons & Dragons will be released on June 18th.
The third Dungeons & Dragons 2024 book is a brand new adventure anthology book: Quests From The Infinite Staircase. This anthology will contain six classic D&D adventures updated to the latest edition. This anthology book contains adventures for characters levels 1-13. It is set to release July 16th.
But the biggest draw is official release dates for the revised Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, and Monster Manual. After a lot of Unearthed Arcana playtests, player feedback, and rebranding from One D&D to D&D 2024, the latest edition of the game is finally coming.
The 2024 Player's Handbook will be released on September 17. The Dungeon Master's Guide release is set for November 12. Finally, the new Monster Manual will arrive February 18, 2025.
