Today Owlcat Games has passed a relevant milestone for its upcoming RPG Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader, with the launch of the closed beta.
To celebrate, we get a new trailer featuring a very interesting aspect of the game, the way player choice radically changes how the game progresses. A simple difference in how you introduce yourself turns a quest from an investigation into a much more intense engagement.
The closed beta provides a lot more content compared to the alpha and features the prologue and the first three chapters of the game. You can read more about it in our dedicated article. It will remain active until the game finally releases. That being said, progress won't be transferred to the full game.
You can check out the new trailer below.
Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you want to see more, you can take a look at a previous trailer.
If you're unfamiliar with the concept of Rogue Trader, it indicates a class of free agents within the imperium that act as a mix between merchants and explorers. Those who don't die a horrible death in some interstellar gutter, never to be remembered, often end up leading enormous trading empires.
The name is likely to be fondly familiar for Warhammer 40k veterans, since "Rogue Trader" was the title of the legendary first edition of the tabletop game, which is now approaching the release of its 10th edition.
