Owlcat has announced the Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader release date, bringing yet another colossal RPG to the fold this year.
The game, which will cast you as one of the titular rogue traders piloting a voidship through the barely-charted Koronus Expanse, launches on December 7th, according to Owlcat.
It's not just the release date Owlcat has announced, though; a Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader console release has also been revealed, with the RPG hitting PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on the same day as PC.
We're also introduced to Marazhai, the final companion in the game's extensive party member roster. Marazhai is a Drukhari, otherwise known as a Dark Eldar.
The Dark Eldar call the city of Commorragh their home and revel in torture and piracy, regularly taking slaves and engaging in other nefarious activity. Suffice it to say Marazhai won't be your best friend if you're trying to be nice.
If you've missed out on Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader so far, it's an RPG set in the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40k universe.
Created by Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous developer Owlcat, Rogue Trader will let you try to carve out your own destiny within the perilous Koronus Expanse, where you'll find plenty of opportunities for profit (as well as lots of danger).
The game will emphasize freedom of choice in terms of how you approach its world, so you'll be able to decide whether to stay loyal to the God-Emperor, as well as how you treat your enemies (and your friends) and whether you consort with Mankind's enemies.
You'll also travel with a range of different companions, each with a unique outlook on the world. They'll help you out both in exploration and in combat, which is fully turn-based and which utilizes Owlcat's variation on the Rogue Trader tabletop ruleset.
