Bandai Namco has announced That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles, a new action RPG based on the popular manga and anime series. It's coming to PC and consoles in August.
The new game will serve as the first console and PC game based on the property, after the mobile game That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Memories (are you getting confused yet?) launched in October 2021.
It'll follow the original story of the manga, meaning that if you've never read a volume or watched an episode, Isekai Chronicles should still be the perfect place to jump in and get started.
As well as the original stories told in the manga and anime series, Isekai Chronicles will also contain two original stories penned by Slime author Fuse, with new characters making an appearance as well.
Over the course of the game, you'll explore the world of Tempest, do battle against enemies in a combat system that looks heavily inspired by the Tales games, and engage in sidequests to strengthen relationships and develop your skills.
Those two things aren't mutually exclusive, either; by developing relationships, Rimuru will gain access to new special attacks he can use in battle, and allies can even join Rimuru's attacks to help him in a pinch.

Isekai Chronicles will also feature a city-building element; you'll be able to build a community, add structures and residents to that community, and watch it grow into a mighty nation from humble beginnings.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Isekai Chronicles is heading to PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on August 8th. Stay tuned for more on this one.
