The last region you gain access to in Survival: Fountain of Youth is the Bimini Belt. Even though you don't have Ponce de Leon's map to safely make your way through the rocks in front of the island, you've learned of a different method to reach your goal.
Bimini Belt on a Stormbreaker.
The easiest way to navigate Bimini Belt is to build a Stormbreaker, the native ship lost to time during the war with the Immortals. The hardest part of this is gathering 20 Piece of Natives Map in the other four regions. The Shaman on Crocodile Island will only give you the blueprint for the vessel once you've collected all of them.
Building the boat is easy, as well. It takes:
- x2 Split Log
- x2 Dried Hide
- x1 Hollow Log
- x2 Rope made of Skin
- x2 Feather
- x1 Boar Tusk
- x1 Jackal Fang
- x1 Tortoise Shell
Once crafted, you can fast travel to the Bimini Belt Region. When you load in, you want to head to the left side towards the illuminated door. There's a raging storm that makes steering difficult and can even capsize your vessel, so take your time weaving through the rocks. When you approach the lit door, you'll see there are slots where the two side pieces and the center section fit. This triggers a weight that grants you access.
Behind the door is a passage that leads you to the bay in front of Bimini Island. When you leave the passage there's a light on your right. Stop there to pick up a Set of Tools on your way to the beach.
Bimini Belt on Da Vinci's Ark
If you'd rather just blow up some weak points to get through the Bimini Belt, then you can take the Ark. First you'll have to repair Da Vinci's ship, which focuses on three different areas: core, mast, and sails.
- The core requires x3 Wooden Plank, x2 Iron Ingot.
- The mast requires x3 Rope made of Skin, x2 Split Log.
- The sails require x4 Linen Fabric.
Bringing all the necessary items at once makes the repair process much less frustrating. You can just quickly fix up the Ark and get it working.
Once you can sail the Ark, you need to head to the Sunken Galleon, which is south of Sulfur Island. There are five parts of a cannon there that you need to winch out of the water to obtain. Sail over the areas to haul them up. The winch has a short length, only 70ish units once you're in the water, and is operated by grabbing the hook when diving into the ocean. You'll need to be almost above each component to raise it.
With the winch you're also able to haul up Ammo Chests. One is found at each of the shipwreck sites and contain x10 Cannonball, x10 Gunpowder, and one other piece of equipment or resource. You'll need cannonballs and gunpowder to get through Bimini Belt. You can either travel around and collect the chests or craft them at your base.
When ready, head to the Bimini Belt Region. This time, you need to navigate towards the illuminated arch on the right side. Behind the arch is a series of magma orbs. Shooting these orbs with the cannon causes them to weaken the rock wall blocking your progress. There are three walls with three magma orbs each.
To fire at them, sit in the seat behind the cannon. The wheel on the right adjusts the aim from left to right. The wheel on the left changes height. It'll be storming, which can cause you to miss a well aimed shot or aid you in sending a cannonball higher if you fire at the crest of a wave. If you run out of ammo, you're free to leave and get more. The walls don't reset so your exact progress will be the same when you return.
After the third wall, you'll navigate a passage and then exit into the bay in front of Bimini Island. This time you're more on the right-hand side of the area. Before heading to the beach, sail to the lit rock outcropping to collect the Set of Tools.
Bimini Island Temple and the Native Trials
The Bimini Island is home to the temple of the Fountain of Youth. Getting there isn't as easy as walking up for a drink, though. There are four trials that need to be completed. New aggressive animals, like the Black Panther and Black Boar, roam the wilds. Scorpions, caimans, jackals, and more will ambush you. As the culmination of the story, this island has a bit of every other region.
From the beach there's a staircase that leads up to the ridge. On the right of the stairs when coming from the beach there's an Ancient Shrine. Grab the Buffalo Potion and interact with the shrine to learn the Chronicle.
Head up the stairs to explore the island. If you follow the path you'll end up at the temple. Inside there's a main room, with the exit blocked. Four rooms, each representing one of the tribes, branch off from the main room. To proceed further, you must complete the Native Trials.
If you want to be prepared for the trials before you reach the temple, there are multiple items to collect across Bimini Island. Near the ridge from the beach you'll find a Gold deposit. Grab fives ores to bring with you to the temple, as they're necessary for the Buffalo trial. While the journal description states you need 12 total, the sword and shield only need five.
While exploring, you also want to gather:
- Caapi
- Sage
- Mold
- Aloe
As a new plant, the curled branch with flowers on it represents Caapi. They are a pink flower found on larger trees similar to Liana. You can find a source on the right side of the temple before descending into the valley portion. Mold is near the caiman. Sage is located in multiple places, but there's a spot along the path near a Black Panther that you can harvest it. Aloe is the hardest to find. It's in the Bamboo grove on the ridge all the way to the right of the map.
Additionally, there are four sets of ruins across the island that have a colored idol on top of a central pillar. These need to be collected for the Bird trial. Hitting them a couple times with arrows knock them off the pillar, allowing them to be picked up. The idols match the colored openings in the Bird room, with the red idol found on the floor. The green idol is on top of the left pillar in the trial room.
The hardest trial was the Puma maze. There are three keys hidden away, though their locations are close to one of three predators. The best way to not get lost in the maze is to light the lamps as you move through it. This ensures you know where you came from, and what still needs to be explored.
Completing the four trials will activate the center platform. Interact with it to open the door ahead, where the final boss awaits. The boss has multiple stages, but using a firearm to defeat it makes the task much easier.
After the boss breaths their final breathe, the Fountain of Youth appears. It generates Living Water that never evaporates. You can fill whatever flask you have with it for future use. Heading out the back after the cutscene brings you to a dingy and the remaining crew of the San Cristobal. The game concludes and the credits role. You have found the legendary Fountain of Youth.
