Star Wars Unlimited (SWU), the new Star Wars collectible card game (CCG) from Fantasy Flight Games, launched recently with its first set, Spark of Rebellion. SWU booster packs contain 16 cards with a generally fixed rarity, and if you're lucky, you can also find the ultra-rare Hyperspace Foils and Showcase cards. To celebrate its release, we're opening a booster box of 24 booster packs to give players an idea of what you might find in the packs and how they break down. The nature of CCGs means that the cards in the packs are entirely random across the set rarity of each pack, which for each Spark of Rebellion booster pack is, 1 leader card, 1 base card, 9 common cards, 3 uncommon cards, 1 rare or legendary card, and 1 foil card (random rarity level).
In the pack breakdown below, we're only showing the Rare and Foil cards, and any Leaders or Bases of the higher rarities, along with any hyperspace or showcase cards we might find.

Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 1
In this pack, we got:
- Yoda Old Master (Uncommon Foil)
- Devastator Inescapable (Legendary)
- Power of the Dark Side (Hyperspace Uncommon)
- Sabine Wren Galvanized Revolutionary (Hyperspace Common)
A solid first pack with a Legendary and 2 Hyperspace variants. Especially Sabine (as an Aggro player, she's my number one leader).
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 2
In this pack, we got:
- Restock (Common Foil)
- Tarkintown (Rare)
- Cloud City (Hyperspace Common)
A slight step up from an average pack with the Hyperspace Common, but nothing to get too excited about with the Common Foil and single Rare.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 3
In this pack, we got:
- Frontier At-RT (Common Foil)
- Energy Conversion Lab (Rare)
- Benthic "Two Tubes" Partisan Lieutenant (Hyperspace Uncommon)
- Corellian Freighter (Hyperspace Common)
Another slightly above standard pack with the two Hyperspace cards. It would have been better to get the Rare base in the base card slot and then another rare.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 4
In this pack, we got:
- Seasoned Shoretrooper (Common Hyperspace Foil)
- Chopper Metal Menace (Rare)
A standard pack, only saved by the Hyperspace foil. It's still common, but at least it's not a simple Common foil.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 5
In this pack, we got:
- Mercenary Company (Common Foil)
- K-2SO Cassian's Counterpart (Rare)
A standard pack. 1 rare and a Common Foil. The pack is saved for me with K-2SO being a solid card for my Sabine Aggro deck. K-2SO is able to run over smaller units to still damage your opponent's base if required (but you're probably better off just going for the 4 damage against their base), and if they are defeated later, they still deal 3 damage to your opponent's base.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 6
In this pack, we got:
- Energy Conversion Lab (Rare Foil)
- Black One Scourge of Starkiller Base (Legendary)
- First Legion Snowtrooper (Hyperspace Common)
- Echo Base (Hyperspace Common)
- Chirrut Îmwe One With the Force (Rare)
A solid enough pack. A legendary and a rare foil, then two hyperspace commons and an additional rare in the leader card spot. The Black One is incredible in an Aggro deck for refilling your hand, but a little too expensive for me to run in my current deck.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 7
In this pack, we got:
- Vigilant Honor Guards (Common Foil)
- Jedi Lightsaber (Rare)
- Heroic Sacrifice (Hyperspace Rare)
We got an additional Hyperspace Rare in an uncommon spot in this pack, taking it beyond an average pack and I love the artwork for Heroic Sacrifice, which looks great in the Hyperspace variant.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 8
In this pack, we got:
- Prepare for Takeoff (Uncommon Foil)
- Search Your Feelings (Rare)
A standard pack. Neither of which of the cards are useful for my aggro deck.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 9
In this pack, we got:
- Green Squadron A-Wing (Common Foil)
- Sneak Attack (Rare)
- Snapshot Relexes (Hyperspace Common)
An average pack with an extra Hyperspace Common. I'm not a huge fan of upgrades, but Snapshot Relexes is cheap and useful, and the art is also a fantastic one to get in Hyperspace.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 10
In this pack, we got:
- Ardent Sympathizer (Common Foil)
- U-Wing Reinforcement (Rare)
- Battlefield Marine (Hyperspace Common)
- Han Solo Audacious Smuggler (Hyperspace Rare)
A decent pack with the extra Hyperspace Rare in the leader slot. Han's not a great leader compared to the top tier leaders in this set, but may see better play when additional sets are released.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 11
In this pack, we got:
- General Krell Heartless Tactician (Rare Foil)
- Heroic Sacrifice (Rare)
- Snowspeader (Hyperspace Common)
- Leia Organa Alliance General (Hyperspace Common)
2 rares and 2 hyperspace commons in a pack isn't bad, but it's better than average. I also love the Snowspeader art an Leia is a great leader.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 12
In this pack, we got:
- Jedha Agitator (Common Foil)
- Emperor's Royal Guard (Rare)
- Grand Inquisitor (Rare)
An above-average pack with the additional rare in the leader spot. The Grand Inquisitor isn't one of the best leaders though.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 13
In this pack, we got:
- Distant Patroller (Uncommon Foil)
- Redemption Medical Frigate (Rare)
A standard pack, nothing exciting.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 14
In this pack, we got:
- Moment of Peace (Common Foil)
- You're My Only Hope (Rare)
Another standard pack. I do like You're My Only Hope as a situational card though. Can be huge if you've built your deck around it, but will more than likely just sit in your hand until you need it.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 15
In this pack, we got:
- The Force Is With Me (Uncommon Foil)
- Han Solo Reluctant Hero (Rare)
Our third standard pack in a row. Neither cards useful to me in my current deck.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 16
In this pack, we got:
- Regional Sympathizers (Common Foil)
- For A Cause I Believe In (Rare)
- Ezra Bridger Resourceful Troublemaker (Hyperspace Uncommon)
- Partisan Insurgent (Hyperspace Common)
A slightly above-average pack with the extra Hyperspace cards. For A Cause I Believe In is a rare that I'm after, so useful for me and a solid aggro deck card.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 17
In this pack, we got:
- Forced Surrender (Uncommon Foil)
- Gideon Hask Ruthless Loyalist (Rare)
- Boba Fett - Collecting the Bounty (Hyperspace Common)
A slightly above standard pack with the Uncommon and Hyperspace Common. I do love Fett as a leader though, so I'm glad to have this in Hyperspace.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 18
In this pack, we got:
- Surprise Strike (Common Foil)
- General Krell Heartless Tactician (Rare)
- Dagobah Swamp (Hyperspace Common)
Nice to get the Hyperspace swamp, but otherwise a standard pack.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 19
In this pack, we got:
- Power Of The Dark Side (Uncommon Foil)
- Chimaera Flagship of the Seventh Fleet (Rare)
- Bombing Run (Hyperspace Rare)
- ISB Agent (Hyperspace Common)
An above-average pack. Fantastic artwork on the Bombing Run card is well worth having in Hyperspace and Power of the Dark Side is a fantastic control card.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 20
In this pack, we got:
- Consortium StarViper (Common Foil)
- It Binds All Things (Rare)
A standard pack (a theme it appears for our Booster Box). It Binds All Things is a solid card though, and I love he thematicness of it.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 21
In this pack, we got:
- Occupier Siege Tank (Common Foil)
- Lando Calrissian Responsible Businessman (Rare)
- Emperor Palpatine Galactic Ruler (Rare)
It's always great to get the extra Rare in the leader slot. Palpatine is an interesting card, and incredibly thematic, which I love.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 22
In this pack, we got:
- Lothal Insurgent (Common Foil)
- Jedha City (Rare)
- Vanquish (Hyperspace Common)
I'm always sad to get a base in the Rare slot, especially when the pack is as disappointing as this. Amazing art on the Vanquish card though.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 23
In this pack, we got:
- Saw Gerrera Extremist (Rare Foil)
- Spark of Rebellion (Rare)
- Han Solo Audacious Smuggler (Rare)
Great to get a Rare foil, and the additional rare in the Leader spot.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Pack 24
In this pack, we got:
- Rogue Squadron Skirmisher (Uncommon Foil)
- Boba Fett Disintegrator (Legendary)
- Catacombs of Cadera (Hyperspace Common)
The final pack almost saves the booster box for me. I'm chasing 3 copies of Boba Fett Disintegrator and this is my first.
Star Wars Unlimited Spark of Rebellion Booster Box Opening Summary
Our total pulls outside of the standard commons and uncommon for the deck box were:
- 25x Rare
- 3x Legendary
Foils
- 13x Common
- 7x Uncommon
- 3x Rare
Hyperspace
- 17x Common
- 2x Uncommon
- 3x Rare
Hyperspace Foil
- 1x Common
This unfortunately wasn't a great box for me. I got several cards that I needed, but no huge pulls. 3 Legendaries is below the 1 in 8 packs ratio and not a solid rarity of Hyperspace cards but well above the average of 2 in 3 packs for us. This is all of course the nature of CCG's in drawing random cards from packs, and any pack could contain one of the super valuable Showcase cards.
If you've opened a Star Wars Unlimited Spar of Rebellion booster box, let us know how your pulls compare to ours. Did you pull a Showcase? Did you get better than our Foil pulls or just better overall?
