Are you familiar with an energy drink brand by the name of Non Stop? The good folks behind Stalker 2 have announced that the game is partnering with the drinks brand, so you'll see Non Stop energy drinks appearing throughout your journey across the Exclusion Zone. What's more, this apparently isn't even the first time the studio has partnered with this brand.
GSC Game World remains hard at work on Stalker 2, and the studio has released a fun little teaser trailer showcasing one of the game's quirkier elements. In a new trailer, GSC Game World shows how Non Stop energy drinks will boost your Stalker's energy, so it's a good idea to "keep a few in your stash" for hairy moments. Here's the (admittedly very brief) trailer, which shows a rather nice-looking house and a very well-rendered energy drink can.
The trailer's description makes reference to the drink appearing in Stalker "just like 16 years ago", indicating that Non Stop drinks appeared in 2007's Stalker: Shadow of Chornobyl as well. If you don't remember them appearing there, though, you're not alone.
It would seem that the drinks only appeared in certain countries and that generic energy drink branding was instead used for other territories, with the Non Stop-branded graphic going unused in the US and elsewhere. That generic branding was then used around the world for the followups Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. GSC Game World has confirmed this is indeed the case; they told us that the original Non Stop partnership was local, but that the drink will be appearing in Stalker 2 globally.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is currently in development for PC and Xbox Series X|S. We don't have a release date yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we get one.
