Nintendo has announced a new range of Splatoon 3 amiibo, and they're modeled after everyone's favorite posse: Deep Cut.
Launching on November 17th, the three amiibo (see what I did there?) are based on Frye, Shiver, and Big Man, and they'll all unlock new content in the frenetic third-person multiplayer shooter, which is getting a brand new Halloween event soon as well.
Each amiibo will let you use gear based on the corresponding character, so you can dress up your Inkling as any of the three Deep Cut members.
As well as granting new gear, these amiibo will also let you take pictures with the corresponding character if you scan them into your game.
In short, if you're a fan of the characters that make up Deep Cut and you want to show off your love for them in Splatoon 3's multiplayer modes, this is a pretty essential set of amiibo to purchase.
If you're not up to speed with Splatoon 3, it is, as you've probably guessed, the third game in Nintendo's Splatoon series.
Like the previous Splatoon games, the latest installment is a fast-paced third-person multiplayer shooter in which players must compete to cover an arena in their team's ink color.
Splatting other players isn't the main objective, unlike other shooters, but it will leave you free to ink the stage for a while (well, unless your gun refuses to fire, that is).
As well as a range of multiplayer modes, Splatoon 3 also comes complete with a single-player campaign that sees you navigating a series of levels using different weapons in the game's arsenal.
In addition to regular seasonal content drops, Splatoon 3 also routinely crosses over with other Nintendo properties, like The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon, for its "Splatfest" events, in which players must pledge allegiance to certain teams.
You can pick up Splatoon 3 right now exclusively on Nintendo Switch, and be sure to take a look at our very own Dan Rockwood's review of the game if you're on the fence about buying it.
