Spoiler season for Wizards of the Coast may start tomorrow, but there's still plenty of time for Magic: The Gathering leaks to happen, as today's newest revelation shows.
A thread on reddit's Magic: The Gathering forum is currently discussing the veracity of two leaked cards that were posted in the Grand Prix Pittsburgh metagame discussion by reddit user leakyfaucets123. The two cards, seen below, feature a new Eldritch Moon mechanic called "meld", which - when conditions are met - are both exiled by the mechanic, which in turn puts the combined card onto the battlefield.
While Wizards of the Coast hasn't confirmed the veracity of this leak at the time of writing this article, the Meld mechanic is supported by the existence of a few cards and story elements that have already been spoiled. While a card for the combined form of Innistrad angels Bruna and Gisela has yet to be spoiled, the latest Magic Story makes specific reference to the two combining due to the presence of the Eldrazi Titan Emrakul on Innistrad. The recently spoiled Hanweir, the Writhing Township also suggests that a theme of amalgamation will be present in Eldritch Moon.
Additionally, the reddit Magic: The Gathering forum has previously discussed double-sided test prints that were discovered in booster packs from recent sets, which seem to support the existence of this new Meld mechanic - or at least, Wizards of the Coast's experimentation with the concept.

Quick Take
I'm not too crazy on this mechanic, if it's true. In Limited, it would be extremely hard to pull off as you would need both parts of the Meld creature, and even harder if the Melded form isn't printed on the card backs like the Endbringer test prints. I think it's mostly going to be a mechanic that reflects the storyline and the presence of Emrakul on Innistrad, and not something that's supposed to be competitively viable.
