Today Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Team Ninja released several videos focusing on the weapons included in Rise of the Ronin.
Each video focuses on a category of weapon, showing its moves and how it is used to defeat your opponents in battle.
Most of the videos also showcase different styles that can be used for each weapon. Specifically, each weapon has two styles shown in sequence.
The first video focuses on the Katana.
Next is the dual-sword style. Incidentally, the first style showcased is Miyamoto Musashi's Niten Ichi-ryu.
The video below showcases the Oachi, a longer and heavier Japanese sword.
Speaking of longer and heavier, this video focuses on the Daiken, or great sword.
We then get to take a look at the Naginata, a popular Japanese long-bladed polearm.
Speaking of polearm, next is the Yari, or Japanese spear.
Moving away from Japanese-style weapons, the next showcase is about the bayonet affixed to a rifle.
The last video doesn't have different styles, but instead, it focuses on a variety of ranged weapons including muskets, bows, shuriken, and revolvers.
Rise of the Ronin releases exclusively for PlayStation 5 on March 22nd. The game is developed by the folks at Koei Tecmo's Team Ninja, well-known for the Nioh series and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
