Today Sony Interactive Entertainment and Koei Tecmo released a new behind-the-scenes video of the upcoming action RPG Rise of the Ronin.
In the video, we hear from director Fumihiko Yasuda and other members of the development team as they talk about the storytelling included in the game.
Apparently, the path we'll take will depend heavily on the decisions we'll make during the gameplay. As a main decision point, we'll have to choose whether we'll side with the pro-Shogunate forces or with the pro-imperial faction, which is certainly a topical choice in the midst of the Boshin war.
We also see how our decisions will influence our relationship with several different characters, including historical ones like Ryoma Sakamoto.
Depending on who we side with, some may be our allies and our enemies, and the developers expect this to improve replayability as players make different choices on their second playthrough.
we also take a look at the open world of the game, which affords players the freedom to explore and to enjoy tasks in the order they prefer.
You can watch the video below.

If you'd like to see more of this interesting exclusive, you can check out an extensive gameplay video from the recent PlayStation State of Play, another video from the same series as today's focusing on the game's world, one more focusing on weapons and styles, and a series of clips showing more of the weapons at our disposal.
