Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2D Platformer developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft, releasing for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on January 18, 2024. The Lost Crown features a new prince, Sargon, set in a Persian-inspired world that has been corrupted by evil.
In a similar vein to the original Prince of Persia titles, gameplay takes place in 2D as Sargon platforms through the interconnected world. Starting with his sword skills, he'll eventually obtain the ability to manipulate time. This is used both during combat, and to complete different puzzles that you'll encounter.
The story of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is not connected to the previous entries, though an outfit based on Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is available with pre-orders of the games.
