Today Valve announced the most-played games on Steam Deck for the month of February 2023, and change at the top has finally happened with Palworld overtaking Baldur's Gate 3.
The list, shared on X (formerly Twitter), ranks the twenty games that have received the most cumulative hours of gameplay during the month.
Baldur's Gate 3's reign has been very long. It lasted six months since it left early access in August 2023.
Persona 3 Reload was also very popular and took full advantage of the fact that it was released near the beginning of the month to conquer third place from Elden Ring.
Helldivers 2 closes the top 5, despite missing the first week of the month, while Granblue Fantasy: Relink, which released on February 1 and benefited for the full 29 days of this Leap February, followed suit, beating Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth in a battle between JRPGs.
The fact that 4 JRPGs and 6 RPGs dominated the top 10 this month is certainly significant, just as much as the fact that 5 of the top 10 games are Japanese.
Below you can read the full top 20 ranking.

Palworld has been extremely popular since its release in early access in mid-January. Recently, its developer Pocketpair announced that it has passed 25 million players across PC and Xbox, of which 15 million are on Steam. It just received patch v0.1.5.1 a couple of days ago.
