Our guide will tell you how to get all of the Once Human resources you'll need for crafting including Tin Ore, Standard Part, and more!
A big part of Once Human is crafting the items you need and building up your base, but you can't just make something out of nothing — you'll need all sorts of crafting resources to create these items. Read on to learn where to find the basic resources you'll need!
How to Get Crafting Resources in Once Human
There are five ways to get crafting resources in Once Human:
- Gathering Raw Materials: Some items (such as Logs) are most easily acquired by gathering them in the natural world.
- Processing Raw Materials: Certain crafting resources need to be refined from raw resources. For instance, you can turn Logs into Charcoal at a Furnace, and that's the easiest way to get Charcoal.
- Disassembling Scrap: Once you get the Disassembly Bench, you can turn the random Scrap you find (such as Ballpoint Pens, Staplers, Toilet Plungers, etc.) into other resources such as Adhesive, Shabby Fabric, Rusted Parts, and the like.
- Killing enemies: You can get certain resources (such as Acid) by killing enemies. Naturally, different enemies drop different types of resources; as an example, the human bandits you'll encounter in Level 10+ areas will drop Gunpowder instead of Acid.
- Completing Tasks: Completing Story Tasks (or Tasks found throughout the world) may reward you with some resources.
Aside from natural materials such as Logs and the various ores, your best way to get crafting materials is to explore points of interest on the map. You're sure to find plenty of loot all throughout the area, although you'll probably have to kill some enemies to safely collect it.
Rarely, you may find an item with an orange-tinted icon and nameplate. These "Legendary" Scraps are high-value items that can give you an abundance of resources. Putting a "Rescue Bot" Scrap item into the Disassembler, for example, will give you 10 Antibiotic, 6 Poly Antibiotic, 33 Metal Scraps, and 12 Electronic Part.

Gunpowder is most typically crafted using a mix of Sulfur, Charcoal, and Acid, but it can also rarely be found by Disassembling certain pieces of Scrap.
You'll also be able to get Gunpowder by defeating human bandits (instead of Acid, which drops off of most monstrous enemies).
How to Get Iron Ore
Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A
Iron Ore can only be found in areas rated Level 20 and higher. The closest place to find Iron Ore is the Iron River area north of the Monolith of Greed. You'll need to have a Bronze Pickaxe in order to farm it.
Unfortunately, you cannot access these areas at the start of the game right away — you must progress the "Follow the Stardust" main storyline quests until you've unlocked the second town Meyer's Market. Once you have, you can safely travel to the Level 20 areas north of the starting area.

You won't need Sulfur for much in the early game, but it forms a critical component of Gunpowder. You're going to need a fair amount of Sulfur to craft your own ammo once you start making guns!
How to Get Tin Ore
Disassembly Bench Sources: N/A
You can get Tin Ore by exploring areas rated for Level 10 and higher. Tin Ore has roughly the same shape as Copper Ore, but it has a grey color. The closest (and safest) area you can get it is the parts of Broken Delta rated for Level 12, across the river to the southwest of Deadsville.
