Our Nightingale Fishing Guide will teach you how to unlock fishing and how the minigame itself works. You'll also learn where you can find different species of fish.

How to Unlock Fishing in Nightingale
To get your hands on fishing gear, you'll first need to have at least completed the tutorial areas and unlocked the Simple Workbench. Once you do and have visited the merchant in your first Abeyance world, you'll have access to a whole slew of new items to create, including the fishing rod.
How Fishing Works
The fishing minigame in Nightingale is a bit fiddly, but once you get used to it it's not too hard at all. You'll need to take your rod down to a body of water but bear in mind you can fish pretty much anywhere, river or sea. Below are the step-by-step instructions on the fishing mini-game.
- Press action to cast out your line
- Wait for a fish to start nibbling your line, then press action again.
- Hold the action button to reel in the fish, but make sure you keep your rod pointed at it or the line will snap.
- Watch your stamina, if you reel for too long your bar will empty and you'll lose the fish.
Nightingale Fishing List | Where to Catch Fish
Below is a list of all the fish in the game and where you can find them, but bear in mind you'll need to check back in as we discover more of them.
