Today Bandai Namco released a brand-new trailer of the upcoming fighting game Tekken 8.
This time around, we get to see one of the Tekken series' most beloved heroes, Jin Kazama, as he trounces Kazuya Mishima (who recently got his own gameplay trailer) in a rather classic duel.
The trailer provides a look at Jin's combos, and it's certainly exciting to see him in action with the new visuals and mechanics that Bandai Namco is implementing in the new title of the storied fighting series.
You can watch him below.Â
Tekken 8 is coming for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 and doesn't have a release date or window just yet.Â
Just recently, Bandai Namco hosted an extensive presentation at the Tekken World Tour 2022 finals, explaining how the gameplay will evolve from Tekken 7 thanks to a handful of new mechanics.Â
At the same time, we got the reveal of another traditional character, Nina Williams, and we also heard that Fighting EX Layer developer Arika is helping with the development of the game, bringing a bit of Street Fighter DNA into the Tekken series. Â
Incidentally, a closed alpha test is coming to select locations around the world to gather feedback on the battle system of the game. It will be conducted on-site and in person. The first chance to try the game will be at EVO Japan 2023, but only players registered for the tournament will be admitted. More details on top of further locations will be shared at a later time. It remains to be seen whether Bandai Namco will host online beta events down the line. For the moment, we'll have to wait and see.Â
