Today Neowiz and Round 8 Studio released a new gameplay trailer of Lies of P, focusing on its interesting Legion Arms mechanics.
Legion Arms are basically additional weapons that you can affix to your left arm, and they come with some rather spiffy and often brutal effects.
We get to see the Deus Ex Machina which lets you stick explosives into the ground, acting like landmines. The Aegis does what it says on the tin, and it's basically a shield.
The Falcon Eyes looks like a cannon, but it's actually similar to the Deus Ex Machina, planting timed explosives in an enemy's body. The Puppet String turns you into Scorpion from Mortal Kombat so that you can shout "Get over here!" as you pull your enemies in. It also works like a grappling hook.
The Fulminis lets you shock enemies, while the Flamberge is like a flamethrower. Finally, The Pandemonium... does something Cthulhu-like... don't ask me. I have no idea.
Incidentally, the trailer shows each weapon's effect when they're stock or upgraded, which causes additional or amplified effects.
Of course all the Legion Arms work as a secondary weapon, so they can be used in combination with others, regardless of whether they're one or two handed.
You can check out the trailer below and see all the Legion Arms in action.
Lies of P launches on September 19 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. If you're not familiar with the game, you could define it as a retelling of Pinocchio's classic story with a lot more violence and plenty more violence.
If you'd like to learn more about this interesting Souls-like, you can check out another trailer and one more showing the Weapon Assemble system.
You can also read our hands-on preview, in which our Erren Van Duine defined it "The Dark Souls of Classic Literature" and described both similarities and differences between this upcoming game and well-known masterpieces by FromSoftware.
