Fantasy Flight Games has announced a second expansion for the board game Relic entitled Halls of Terra. Halls of Terra is a sideboard expansion for Relic that will see players visiting Holy Terra and Mars in an attempt to gain endorsement as and Imperial Champion from the ruling powers of the Imperium. In addition to the new sideboard the expansion will include a new Nemesis like those introduced in the previous Relic: Nemesis expansion, three new characters, a new orange Threat deck, new missions and new scenarios.
Relic: Halls of Terra - What is it?
In Halls of Terra players will be competing to collect Affiliation tokens. At least one Affiliation token is required to pass through the Palace Gates in an attempt to meet the High Lords of Terra although the more Affiliations a player possesses the more likely they are to earn a Relic from the High Lords. Players will be facing challenges presented by the Orange threat deck and attempting to complete new missions in order to gain Affiliation tokens. If a player manages to enter the Sanctum Imperialis and meet the God-Emperor they will be named Champion of one of the Imperial Powers.
The Halls of Terra expansion will include many locations and will see players interact with many factions that those familiar with the lore of Warhammer 40k will recognize. Players may visit Titan, home to the fortress-monastery of the Grey Knights or Luna, where players can attempt to win the favor of the Imperial Nobility. Players may also visit the headquarters of the Adeptus Mechanicus on Forge World Mars. On Terra players may face trials at the Halls of Judgement or visit the mysterious Adeptus Astra Telepathica in an attempt to discover the secrets of the Scholastia Psykana. When they wish to approach the Palace to stand before the Senate and the God-Emperor players will first face the Adeptus Custodes who guard it.
Relic: Halls of Terra is expected to hit store shelves in the second quarter of 2015.
