Life Is Strange developer Don't Nod has announced that upcoming narrative adventure Lost Records: Bloom & Rage has been delayed out of 2024.
In a press release, Don't Nod says the game, which was announced during last year's Game Awards and which was originally set to launch later this year, will now be arriving in early 2025 instead.
The studio says the decision comes after an "in-depth assessment of recent trends and developments in the industry", and that the delay has been put in place in order to ensure that Lost Records: Bloom & Rage "has a successful launch".
Don't Nod CEO Oskar Guilbert says it's important for players to give both Lost Records: Bloom & Rage and the upcoming Life Is Strange: Double Exposure (which was announced during the Xbox show earlier this month) "the space they need to be enjoyed" by players.
Guilbert says that he thinks the wait for Lost Records "will be worth it", so it sounds like the studio is confident in what it's created, even if it is going to take a couple more months to release.
If you're not familiar with Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, it's an upcoming narrative adventure game from the studio responsible for Life Is Strange.
The game revolves around a group of friends who spend an unforgettable summer together in 1995, but there's one problem: something happens during that summer that makes all of them "promise to never speak again", as the Steam page says.
If you've played Life Is Strange, you'll know what to expect: a game that's fairly light on gameplay but heavy on storytelling, atmosphere, and character. Fans of Don't Nod's other narrative work will likely love it.
You'll be able to check out Lost Records: Bloom & Rage when it launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in early 2025. Stay tuned for more.
