Neowiz has given fans a first glimpse of what they can expect from the upcoming Lies of P DLC, and a second game is on the way as well.
In a new Director's Letter video, director Ji Won Choi thanks fans for helping the game to reach a million sales.
Choi says that if he shared full DLC details now, he would "undoubtedly face stern reprimands" from the rest of the team. However, he then says he's "secretly sneaked sketches" from the Lies of P DLC on which the team is currently working.
The first piece of Lies of P DLC concept art shows a giant pillar in the middle of what looks to be some kind of industrial facility, possibly one in which water figures heavily.
It doesn't give much away about what we can expect from the DLC, but it's pretty evocative nonetheless.
In the second piece of concept art, P is aboard what looks to be a shipwreck, with a second ship adjoining the first.
A gap through which P can enter the second ship is also visible, along with an item. It looks pretty enticing, but again, doesn't give too much away about what we can expect from the DLC in narrative terms.
If you love Lies of P, you'll be pleased to know that DLC isn't all the new Director's Letter video talks about.
In the video, Choi also confirms that a Lies of P sequel is in the works; early on, he says the team's highest priority is "developing the DLC and working on our sequel".
Given the post-credits sting in Lies of P, said sequel is likely going to be a rather strange proposition. I won't spoil it, but if you've finished the game, you'll know a sequel will, at the very least, be interesting.
An update is also coming for Lies of P that should ease the difficulty of the earlier game a little; the Rising Dodge skill will be unlocked by default and won't need Quartz to obtain, and Polendia will sell two additional Quartz items initially as well.
As a mark of gratitude for Lies of P reaching a million sales, Neowiz is also giving Alidoro's in-game outfit to all players, free of charge. Yes, that includes his mask.
Make sure to check out the rest of the Director's Letter video for updates on what's going on elsewhere in the world of Lies of P, including an update on the game's Wo Long collaboration and more.
Lies of P is available right now for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. You can take a look at my review of it right here if you're wondering whether it's worth your time.
