Characters in Zenless Zone Zero reach a certain point when you are not able to increase their levels any more. Once you reach this point, you have to promote your character, also called agent, first before being able to increase their levels once again.
Here's everything we know on how to promote characters in Zenless Zone Zero!
Promoting characters in Zenless Zone Zero involves farming and the amount of farming you’ll do will depend on what kind of resources you need. There are five farmable resources that you need to be able to promote your characters:
- Attack Certification Seal - Used to promote agents with the Attack specialty
- Stun Certification Seal - Used to promote agents with the Stun specialty
- Anomaly Certification Seal - Used to promote agents with the Anomaly specialty
- Support Certification Seal - Used to promote agents with the Support specialty
- Defense Certification Seal - Used to promote agents with the Defense specialty
Promotion Process
To promote your character, make sure they’ve reached the maximum level available for them currently. After that, click on the character’s level, and a small menu will show up.
Assuming that you have enough certification seals to promote your character, you can hit promote and this will increase your character’s current level cap.
If you don’t, we have you covered! Here's how you can farm Certification Seals in Zenless Zone Zero!
Certification Seal Farming Strategies
Certification Seals in Zenless Zone Zero can be farmed in the HIA club.
Simply head to the counter and talk to the lady on the left named Bertha. There should be a menu that pops up and you should be able to see an option called Agent Promotion.
Click on it and you will be met with different drills. Each of these drills also shows which types of certification seals they drop. You may also notice that these drills can be modified. You can add and decrease the number of enemies. The rewards will also reflect the number of enemies you’re fighting.
A higher number of opponents gives you a larger amount of the resource, and vice-versa.
Another way of obtaining certification seals is through dismantling and crafting.
You need three of the same certification seals to craft a higher-level seal. For example, if you want to craft an Advanced Stun Certification Seal, you need to have three Basic Stun Certification Seals.
Dismantling is also similar, but this time it produces three lower-level certification seals. An Advanced Stun Certification Seal will produce three Basic Stun Certification Seal when dismantled.
