HoYoverse has announced the Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4 release date, and we also now know when the game is hitting PS5.
As revealed in a live stream earlier today, Honkai: Star Rail makes its way to PS5 on October 11th, which is also when you'll get to enjoy version 1.4.
Three new playable characters are being added in version 1.4: Jingliu, Topaz, and Guinaifen, all of whom have already been revealed.
They'll join your old friend Seele, who will once again return to the roster to help you make your way through version 1.4's new content.
Honkai: Star Rail will bring two new areas to the game in the form of the Old Weapons Testing Ground and the Pillars of Creation in Jarilo-VI, and they'll play an essential role in the update's unfolding storyline.
The new update also adds Aetherium Wars, a "universally recognized leading video game" in which you can train and battle your own Aether Spirit critters.
As you advance through Aetherium Wars, you'll find more powerful Overlord Spirits, which you can develop to make yourself even more formidable in combat.
The PlayStation 5 version of Honkai: Star Rail will debut alongside version 1.4, and will feature cross-play and cross-progression with the PC and mobile versions of the game as well.
If you've missed out on Honkai: Star Rail so far, it's the latest game from Genshin Impact studio HoYoverse.
Unlike Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based RPG, but it's still all about putting together a team of your favorite characters and finding unique ways for their abilities and combat strengths to interact.
You can play Honkai: Star Rail for free right now on PC, iOS, and Android. The PS5 version of the game arrives on October 11th, so watch out for that (and the new update, of course!).
