A new wave of Heroscape products has been announced. A year after its return to retail by Renegade Game Studios, the beloved tactical miniatures game is coming back in force this year. Not only does this Heroscape roadmap contain new sets, but official organized play support.
The 2024 Heroscape Roadmap
According to an official press release from Renegade Game Studios, the first wave of the Heroscape roadmap will contain five distinct items. These items will continue to support the game's strength as being one of the most accessible miniature games available while providing modes for advanced players.
The first of these is the Age of Annihilation Master Set. This set features 20 paint-washed miniatures, 74 tiles, and nine unique gameplay scenarios. Notably this expansion was once part of a HasLab crowdfunding campaign on October 22 but failed to reach its funding goal. Thankfully for fans, it is here now.
If you want an entry point into the game, there is the Battle For Wellspring battle box. It contains six miniatures unique to the box, brand-new Wellspring Water terrain tiles, 104 hexes worth of interlocking terrain, and four gameplay scenarios.
For those who want more terrain, there is The Grove At Laur's Edge Terrain Pack. The box contains three interlocking Laur jungle trees and six Laur underbrush pieces. The jungle trees will be 13.6cm, 14.6cm, and 15.5cm respectively.
Lastly, the Age of Annihilation and Battle For Wellspring boxes will come in two different editions. In addition to the Standard Edition, a Premium Painted Edition will be available. As the name implies, this edition will include fully assembled premium-painted miniatures.
All of these sets are available for pre-order right now on Renegade Game Studio's store page and is scheduled for an August 2024 release.
But this Heroscape roadmap won't just contain new sets for players to enjoy. Alongside the release of Wave 1, Heroscape Organized Play will be launched. It will feature in-store tournaments, free monthly scenarios, builder tools, tournament software, and a Battle Network organized play website.
