Set in the unique fiction of the Sentinel Comics universe, Sentinels of the Multiverse puts players in the control of a group of superheroes tasked with working together to combat and defeat the game's supervillains. Using a combination of superpowers, skill, and a dash of luck, the heroes have to contend not only with the villain that they are facing but with challenges that are presented based on the environment in which the fight takes place.
I really enjoy Sentinels of the Multiverse, both the physical card game and the digital port of the game. One of the greatest strengths of the Sentinels of the Multiverse card game is the excellent cooperative play that it offers to players, allowing 1 - 5 players to team up and work together to overcome nefarious villains. My only real complaint about the digital version was that, while faithfully recreating the cards, mechanics, and theme of the physical version, it has been missing online multiplayer. The upcoming release of online multiplayer has me very excited to jump back in to the digital version of the game and connect with and play with friends who do not live near to me.
Not only is Handelabra adding online multiplayer to the digital version of Sentinels of the Multiverse, but they are ensuring that it is cross-platform multiplayer. Players will soon be able to play the game with their friends who own the game regardless of whether they have the game on iOS, Android or PC.
We recently spent some time at GenCon 2015 speaking with Jeremy Handel of Handelabra games about the upcoming addition of online play to the digital version of the game as well as his passion for the game, power armor cosplay and why online multiplayer is only just now about to be released. Check out the video below for one of the most entertaining interviews that we were given while at this year's GenCon.
You can get your hands on the digital version of Sentinels of the Multiverse on your platform of choice here. With online multiplayer being just around the corner, now is the perfect time to get the game if you have been holding off until you could play with your friends online.
