Stunlock Studios has revealed full details of what you can expect when the hotly-anticipated V Rising update 1.0 drops next month.
A new official website dedicated to the update reveals that it's going to be a pretty transformative one indeed, with a new endgame zone in which to do battle, improvements across V Rising's world, and more to look forward to.
This is, of course, all in addition to the Castlevania crossover announced last month, which will introduce legendary vampire hunter Simon Belmont to the world of V Rising, as well as a host of Castlevania-themed decorations, cosmetics, and music.
First up, a brand new endgame area is being added in the form of the Ruins of Mortium, where you'll do battle with Dracula's minions in "dynamic conflict events" that grant exclusive resource rewards.
You can look forward to world improvements across Vardoran, too, as well as new human cargo travellers to intercept. Happening upon one of these caravans gives you the chance to get a hefty reward of both blood and loot.
If you've ever struggled with V Rising's difficulty, you'll be pleased to know that new Relaxed, Standard, and Brutal difficulty options are being introduced, allowing you to choose your own way of playing.
On the combat front, new unique weapons and upgrades are being added in V Rising update 1.0, and the magic system is also being overhauled, bringing new bonuses and ways to engage with spellcasting.
Update 1.0 will also bring the ability to relocate your castle, new customization options, and much, much more. It looks like Stunlock wants to make V Rising feel like a new game with this update, so it's safe to get excited even if you've been with the game since day one.
V Rising update 1.0 launches on May 8th, along with the Castlevania update and DLC. The game is also scheduled to launch on PS5 sometime this year. If you're just getting into V Rising, you can check out our guides right here to help prepare you for the update.
