Toylogic and Square Enix have announced a release date for Foamstars, and there's good news if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber as well.
The wacky multiplayer shooter, which was originally unveiled during last May's PlayStation showcase, will officially launch on PlayStation consoles on February 6th.
What's more, if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you'll get to download and play Foamstars at no extra cost, no matter which tier of Plus you've signed up for.
Once Foamstars leaves PlayStation Plus, it'll be available across both consoles for $29.99, and you'll need a PlayStation Plus subscription if you want to play it.
However, as long as you're signed up to PlayStation Plus, you'll be able to play Foamstars, provided that you picked it up during the time between February 6th and March 4th.
Square Enix has also announced that it's planning to support Foamstars with at least a year of free seasonal updates, including new cosmetics, playable characters, and game modes.
On top of that, you'll be able to buy a Season Pass that will give you access to extra cosmetics specific to that season.
At launch, three PvP game modes will be available in Foamstars: Smash the Star, Happy Bath Survival, and Rubber Duck Party.
You'll also be able to enjoy PvE and single-player modes in which you'll need to protect the land of Bath Vegas from "a series of randomized encounters", according to Square Enix.
In addition, Squad Missions will give you the chance to learn about Foamstars' playable characters. They're essentially tutorials for the multiplayer modes.
Foamstars is due to launch for PlayStation consoles on February 6th, where it'll also be available as a PlayStation Plus day one download. Be sure to give our very own Andrew Otton's preview of the game a look if you want to know how it's shaping up!
