Today Rabbit and Bear Studios announced the release date for the closed beta of the highly-anticipated JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
As announced on the game's Kickstarter page, the beta will launch on March 14. We already knew that it would be open only to backers of the game.
According to the announcement, the content of the beta is "meaty," so we have a lot to look forward to. Each backer will find the code on The Yetee Productions website in the Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Kickstarter Hub when it's time to start downloading the build.
Incidentally, the developers also thanked the fans for the kindness and messages of support delivered after the tragic passing of writer and director Yoshitaka Murayama (also known as the creator of the Suikoden series), who unfortunately won't see his new game released.
Thank you so much for the warm and kind words and messages about our dear friend Murayama. It's times like this that kindness goes a long way and helps give us a little nudge towards the finish line and the release of the game. We thank you for your continued patience and support.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be released in less than two months on April 23, 2024, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
If you'd like an appetizer before you get to play this brand-new JRPG, you can already play the spin-off action JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, which was launched in 2022. You can also watch an extensive trailer from a few weeks ago, showing all the major features of the game.
Full disclosure: the author of this post has backed Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on Kickstarter.
