EA has announced that it plans to support Google Stadia with five games in the coming months, including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA, and Madden NFL.
Announced during today's Stadia Connect, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is set to release this Fall, with the latest entries in the FIFA and Madden NFL series' coming this Winter.
The publisher will then follow this up with two more games in 2021.
EA's CEO Andrew Wilson offered a statement on the partnership:
"Cloud is opening up exciting new possibilities for play. In partnering with Google Stadia, we have an opportunity to deliver some creative and innovative game experiences on an exciting new platform.”
On top of that, Stadia's Phil Harrison also gave a statement on the collaboration:
"We’re thrilled to see some of Electronic Arts’ biggest hits come to the Stadia. I can't wait to play EA SPORTS FIFA, Madden NFL, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on my favorite screens instantly with the simple click of a button,"
Although Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is already out on other platforms, it seems like Stadia will be getting the next entries in the FIFA and Madden NFL series' closer to their initial release, which is expected in August and September this year.
Whilst, no release dates were given for any of these games, it is promising to see EA support Stadia with some big releases, which it has been hesitant to do with new platforms, such as the Nintendo Switch. Maybe the two 2021 games will release alongside their console and PC counterparts?
What are your thoughts on these games coming to Stadia? Will you be playing them on Stadia or a traditional platform?
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, alongside the next FIFA and Madden NFL games, are set to launch on Stadia later this year.
