Today Capcom released a much-awaited update for its newest JRPG Dragon's Dogma 2, addressing some pain points present at release.
The caveat is that the update is available only for PS5 and Steam, while players playing the Xbox version will receive it in the "next few days."
The update was promised a few days ago, and it delivers on some important elements that players have taken issue with.
Certainly one of the most relevant additions included in the patch notes is an option to let you start a new game when you already have save data on your system.
Players will also be able to set some graphics options on PS5, albeit Capcom clarifies that these won't significantly affect performance. Actual improvements to the frame rate are coming with a future update.
You can read the full patch notes below.
[PlayStation 5 / Steam]
- Adding the option to start a new game when save data already exists.
- Changing the number of "Art of Metamorphosis" items available at Pawn Guilds in the game to 99.
- Making the quest that allows players to acquire their own dwelling (where they can save and rest) available earlier in the game.
- Miscellaneous text display issues.
- Miscellaneous bug fixes.
[PlayStation 5]
- Adding the option to switch Motion Blur on/off in Options.
