Bungie's space opera live service shooter is crossing over with the world's most popular fantasy TTRPG. Thanks to a collaboration with Wizards of the Coast, players can enjoy Destiny 2: The Final Shape D&D crossover cosmetics, letting them bring some dice magic to their triumphant guardians.
The Destiny 2: The Final Shape D&D Crossover announcement
According to an official press release, the Destiny 2: The Final Shape D&D crossover will introduce new cosmetic items to players based on monsters and spells from Dungeons & Dragons.
For fashionistas, the crossover brings armor based on Faerun's most iconic monsters. Hunters get the Spectral Displacer set, based on the crafty Displacer Beasts. Warlocks get the Flayer's Dominion set, which is Mind Flayer-themed. Lastly, Titans get the Apex Draconic set, making them as bold as a metallic dragon.
The Destiny 2: The Final Shape D&D crossover content doesn't end at player armor. The crossover will include an Adventurer's Pack Bundle, which features an Owlbear-themed sparrow, a ship based on the five-headed dragon Tiamat, and a Beholder Ghost shell.
Lastly, the crossover will include two emotes. One is the Natural 20 emote, which lets your Guardian roll a d20. Yes, the die results are random each time. Second is a new finisher where players can smack down enemies with the power of Bigby's Hand.
For fans of more physical merchandise, the Bungie Store will be selling a Beholder Shell Ghost vinyl figure.
All of these cosmetics will be available when Destiny 2: The Final Shape goes live on June 4.
This major expansion tells the epic conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga. The Guardians of the Traveler journey into The Pale Heart to prevent the calcification of reality itself by The Witness. It will feature the return of fan-favorite character Cayde-6 and the introduction of the new Prismatic subclass.
