Ghost Ship Publishing and developer Funday Games have revealed the first roadmap for survivor-like bullet hell roguelite Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.
In a Steam news post titled "The Road Ahead", the two studios first thank fans for getting Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor to 500,000 copies sold within just one week, which is a pretty impressive total.
The studios then move on to what's coming next to their game, with some features planned for the near future and others saved for a more distant "at some point" outlook.
First up, Ghost Ship and Funday say they'd like to "make Bosco an integral part of the game" by introducing separate upgrades for him, thereby making "Bosco-builds" a possibility.
New biomes are also being planned, although which biome will be introduced first is apparently a matter of debate "with a lot of...salty...opinions". Salt mines incoming? Who knows.
The two studios are also looking to introduce new Overclocks and Artifacts to the game at some point, dialing "everything up to 9001" in terms of over-the-top build and synergy options.
Lastly for the near future, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will be getting new Mutators for biomes, allowing for more challenges and unique run types in addition to the hazards that are already present in the game.
For the distant future, a bevy of more ambitious features are planned for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor.
They include new missions, extra bosses, daily missions, and an endless mode, as well as stage events, cosmetics, and lots more. It looks like Funday and Ghost Ship have a pretty comprehensive plan for the game.
As the studios point out, though, this roadmap is current "as per the date released", and could be subject to change, so don't get too attached to the timeline for new features.
