Mintrocket and Sony have announced the Dave the Diver PS5 release date, and there's an additional treat in store if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
According to a new PlayStation Blog post, Dave the Diver arrives on PS5 on April 16th, and it'll be a PlayStation Plus Game Catalog game on day one as well, meaning you can play it at no extra cost if you're signed up for PS Plus Extra or Premium.
Naturally, Dave the Diver will feature haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support on PS5 as well, so if you're a fan of the DualSense's unique controller features, you shouldn't be disappointed.
Dave the Diver originally launched on PC via Early Access back in October 2022, later going on to enjoy a full release last June.
The smash hit game went on to amass a million sales within just ten days of its full release, although that figure includes sales during the Early Access period as well.
Following that, however, it was announced in January this year that Dave the Diver had crossed the three million sales threshold, so it looks like sales for the game are still going strong.
To celebrate April Fools' Day yesterday, Dave the Diver studio Mintrocket released a spoof trailer for a VR game called Dokidoki Leahs VR, which "allows" you to interact with an anime figurine character dating sim-style.
Dave the Diver isn't the only game coming to PS Plus on day one in April, either; Sony has also announced that upcoming Metroidvania Tales of Kenzera: Zau will be available as part of the Game Catalog on April 23rd.
You can grab Dave the Diver right now on PC and Nintendo Switch, and it's coming to PS5 on April 16th. No Xbox release has been announced as of yet, so stay tuned for more.
