Midst, the immersive, semi-improvised sci-fi fantasy audio drama produced by Critical Role and Third Person has announced this morning that their third season will premier Wednesday, February 14th. Alongside the announcement of the season premier it has also been revealed that this will be the final season of Midst.
Season 3 will pick up with the main characters - Lark, Moc Weepe, and Phineas Thatch - working to fix up Stationary Hill. While these characters all started in very different places they now need to work together to reach the Highest Light where a new incarnation of Moc is creating an army.
Critical Role and MetaPigeon first picked up Midst back in March of 2023 when they re-released enhanced versions of Season 1 before launching Season 2 with new graphics and additional resources for fans to learn more about the world.
Fans of Midst and the anonymous three person team that create it, Third Person, shouldn't be worried that Midst means the end of hearing from them as Critical Role and Metapigeon stated that they are "excited to continue their partnership with Third Person as they explore more of this truly original and unique cosmos."
The first two seasons of Midst are available on the Critical Role YouTube channel as well as via any Podcasting app. Season 3 will also be available for free when it begins airing on February 14th. Fans who want to listen ahead can subscribe on the Midst website to get two episodes early alongside bonus episodes from the narrators and the previously mentioned world-building resources.
