Today Singularity 6 announced that its cozy sim MMO Palia will soon get a closed beta to let prospective players get hands-on with the game.
The beta will start on August 2 and it'll be only on PC. Registration is already available on the game's official website. For the moment, the beta will be available in North America and Western Europe, with more regions coming down the line. Languages supported will be English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German, but more are also coming throughout the Beta test.
We also get a new trailer to celebrate, and it's exactly as relaxing as you expect, showcasing the world of Palia and its cartoony characters. The game has proven quite popular during its alpha test, with 600,000 players registering to try it out.
You can check it out below.
The press release included a statement by Aidan Karabaich, Co-Founder and Game Director at Singularity 6.
We designed Palia to challenge genre conventions and bring people together in a cozy MMO where they can forge new friendships, and we’re thrilled to finally welcome new players to create the coziest versions of themselves.
We’ve worked hard to create an experience that feels like a relaxing home away from home, and we view our Beta phase as the next step in a continuous journey to expand and improve the game alongside our players. We hope you’ll join us.
The game will finally release in the Holiday Season (which is pretty much appropriate, since it's supposed to be a very cozy season) and a Nintendo Switch version has been announced just a few days ago at the latest Nintendo Direct.
