Developer Pugstorm and publisher Fireshine Games have revealed what's coming as part of the Core Keeper 1.0 update.
It looks like this update, which is set to arrive in August alongside the game's console release, is going to be a very big one indeed, so even seasoned Core Keeper players should have something new to look forward to.
Per a post on the Core Keeper Steam page, the 1.0 update is set to bring a new biome, the conclusion to the game's ongoing story arc, and a player-versus-player system, plus lots more.
First up, you can look forward to a new world generation system that will not only let you customize your world's parameters, but also allow you to share world seeds with other players.
This being the full Core Keeper experience, you can also expect the conclusion of the game's main story arc in the 1.0 release, as well as a new endgame biome called The Passage, which will be "full of hazardous flora and otherworldly fauna".
If you're looking to settle some grievances old-school-style in Core Keeper, you'll also be pleased to know that a PvP system is being introduced in 1.0. You'll be able to toggle whether you want your world to be PvP-enabled or not.
New combat styles, Mage and Warlock, are also coming. The Mage style has you slinging spells from a distance, while the Warlock style is all about summoning minions and getting them to do your bidding.
Of course, this isn't everything that's coming in Core Keeper 1.0. You can also look forward to new bosses, new equipment, new enemies, and plenty more, as well as tons of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
To put it simply, it sounds like even if you feel like you've gotten everything that you possibly can from Core Keeper, this update could well make you change your mind.
Core Keeper 1.0 launches on August 27th across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. You can take a look at our very own Robert's preview of the game from way back in its Early Access days if you want a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
