Today Chinese developer Game Science released a new video about its upcoming and rather impressive action-adventure RPG Black Myth: Wukong.
The video does not show much gameplay, albeit there is some thrown in the mix for good measure and it looks as impressive as usual, but it focuses on a cute stop-motion skit in which a Rabbit builds a new computer to finally get to play the game, only to discover in dismay that he has to wait longer.
The identity of the characters celebrates the Year of the Rabbit, which is the current year in the Chinese calendar. More interesting in practical terms is the announcement at the end indicating that the game is scheduled to release in summer 2024, which will be the Year of the Dragon, as aptly shown on the calendar.
While there isn't much gameplay, the video is full of cute touches including advisories like "the bunny's brand new devices do not represent our actual system requirements," just to make sure we're not too tempted to speculate.

Black Myth: Wukong is an action-adventure RPG that has created a lot of buzz since its original reveal in 2020. The original promotion was mostly intended to attract talented developers to work for Game Science, but it certainly drew the attention of many gamers around the world that have been waiting for today's announcement.
At the moment, platforms have not been announced, but we know that it's coming for "PC and other mainstream consoles." The developers have mentioned they're considering cloud platforms as well, but we'll see whether that'll materialize considering that it was written before one of the most prominent kicked the bucket.
