The best Anby build in Zenless Zone Zero starts with understanding the character first. Anby Demara is a member of the Cunning Hares, similar to Nicole, and she is their resident stun specialist. Being a stun specialist means that she’s mostly the one in the field dealing daze damage until the opponent is stunned.
With that being said, here’s the best Anby build in Zenless Zone Zero!
Basic Tips
As mentioned earlier, Anby in Zenless Zone Zero is a stun specialist. She will be out most of the time and dealing daze damage. Her role is fulfilled once the enemy is stunned and she triggers a chain attack which would allow your other characters (especially your damage specialist) to deal their burst damage.
One thing to note about Anby is her combo of 3x basic attack followed by a special attack. Because of her core skill, this is the best way to accumulate a lot of daze in a short period of time.
Skill Priority
Anby’s skill priorities are as follows:
- Core Skill
- Special Attack
- Basic Attack
- Dodge
Just like other agents, her Core Skill takes priority. Make sure to put emphasis on this first before moving on and increasing the levels of her other moves. Special attack should be leveled up together with her basic attack as this is her bread and butter. They work in tandem with each other.
Her dodge is also a good one to evolve as a part of her core skill has something to do with her dodge counters.
Best Drive Discs
The best Drive Disc set for Anby is:
- 4x Shockstar Disco
- 2x Swing Jazz / 2x Thunder Metal
Shockstar Disco increases Anby’s impact, which is her main stat. Impact increases the daze they deal to enemies. Swing Jazz is more advisable over Thunder Metal as Swing Jazz offers energy regeneration. However, it is an option if you really want to increase Anby’s damage output.
The best Drive Disc base stats for drive discs 4 - 6 are:
- 4 - CRIT Rate/DMG
- 5 - Electric DMG
- 6 - Impact %
Drive Discs 1 - 3 have a fixed base stat. 1 is HP, 2 is ATK, and 3 is DEF. These will never change and as such, you will want to look at the sub-stats instead. The best sub-stats for Anby are:
- CRIT Rate/DMG
- ATK
- Impact%
Don’t go too ham on piling up CRIT Rate. A 50% CRIT Rate should already be fine and a 100% CRIT DMG should compliment it. A good rate is for every 1% CRIT Rate, there should be a 2% CRIT DMG. ATK is just nice to have, and Impact is a bit more complicated.
A good rule of thumb is to go to the training room and if you think Anby is not dealing enough daze, increase it.
Best W-Engines
The Best W-Engines for Anby are:
- The Restrained
- Demara Battery Mark II
- [Vortex] Arrow
Demara Battery Mark II is going to be your first proper W-Engine for Anby. This is a decent weapon for her and it works perfectly with her kit. You don’t need to pull for The Restrained for her unless you really plan on making her your main stun specialist. If for some reason, you don’t want to use Demara Battery Mark II, [Vortex] Arrow is another option.
However, the best W-Engine for Anby is The Restrained. This is due to the passive which buffs the daze applied to enemies from her basic attacks. Since you’ll mostly be attacking and doing combos, more impact through it is always welcome. The Restrained also has impact as its advanced stat.
Team Compositions
Anby can fit in almost any team composition that has one Cunning Hares member or another shock anomaly agent. Here’s an example:
- Anby
- Nicole
- Any DPS
Nicole, being a member of Cunning Hares, triggers Anby’s additional ability from her core skill. In this team composition, Anby will act as the team’s stun specialist. Nicole will be the support and provide additional attack to her teammates and DEF shred. The DPS will deal the most damage after the enemy is stunned.
