Today Steam announced the results of the 2023 Steam Awards, voted by the users of Valve's super-popular digital distribution platform for PC.
According to the official page, Baldur's Gate 3 won Game of the Year beating EA Sports FC 24, Hogwarts Legacy, Resident Evil 4, and Lethal Company.
Alan Wake 2, a strong contender at multiple awards this year, wasn't included, as its PC version is exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
Larian Studios' masterpiece also won Outstanding Story-Rich Game and was the only title to win more than one award. Two is also the maximum number of nominations a game could get, GOTY and another award.
Interestingly, Bethesda's new RPG Starfield managed to win an award for Most Innovative Gameplay. This is likely to be an intriguing talking point in the weeks to come.
Here's a full list of the winners.

All users registered with a non-limited Steam account were able to vote on all awards. Finalists were also chosen democratically in the same way.
Votes were gathered between December 21 and January 2, so Steam's userbased had quite some time to mull over the choices they were given.
All winners will get a trophy on their Steam Page, showcasing the honor they received for posterity.
