After people asking for years, Assassin's Creed is finally headed to Japan in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The game follows the intertwined story of Naoe, an assassin, and Yusuke, a legendary samurai.
Set during the Sengoku period, Japan was in constant civil war. That backdrop of chaos with legendary figures, like Oda Nobunaga, is where we'll see Naoe and Yusuke help bring stability back to Japan.
There will be a ton of castle towns, shrines, and landscapes to explore, all of which you can see in different settings with a dynamic weather system. Shadows will also dramatically change the environment with the seasons.
Naoe, an assassin, plays more like the traditional assassins we are all used to in the series. Emphasizing stealth and speed, she strikes quickly from the shadows to infiltrate bases.
Yusuke, on the other hand, is far more combat-oriented with powerful attacks to take enemies head-on. He has access to a variety of weapons and can block and parry his way to success.
Throughout the game, you can switch between Naoe and Yusuke as you wish. They have their own respective progression, skills, and stats.
