Developer and publisher Aggro Crab has announced that Another Crab's Treasure sales have hit a major milestone, and the studio has also shared its plans for the game going forward.
In a post on Steam commemorating a week since the game's launch, Aggro Crab says that Another Crab's Treasure has managed to sell 150,000 copies across all platforms (that's PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch).
That's particularly impressive given that Another Crab's Treasure was also released on Game Pass on day one, meaning a lot of players will have checked the game out that way rather than buying it.
Despite celebrating the game's sales performance, Aggro Crab has also acknowledged that its success has brought to light "a LOT of bugs", some of which are serious and game-breaking.
Patches are coming to fix those bugs, but Aggro Crab is a fairly small team, with just 11 staffers making up its numbers. As a result, the studio says its employees are "sleepy and tired", and they need to slow down the pace of work on the game "for all of [their] health".
As such, Steam patches for Another Crab's Treasure will start to slow down, but they won't stop. In fact, the game will be getting a public beta branch on Steam next week, so you can test out the latest cutting-edge builds as soon as they arrive.
Another Crab's Treasure is a Soulslike with 3D platformer elements created by Going Under studio Aggro Crab.
It tells the story of Kril, a shy and retiring hermit crab whose shell is stolen one day, prompting him to leave his tide pool and venture into the ocean in order to get it back.
You can grab Another Crab's Treasure right now on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. I think this game is well worth your time, and you can check out my review here to find out why.
