SCS Software has announced the American Truck Simulator Nebraska DLC release date, and the major expansion is due to land very soon indeed.
Nebraska will launch on May 16th (that's next Thursday). It'll follow in the wake of DLC packs like Montana and Wyoming, and will likely do for the state of Nebraska what those two DLCs did for their respective states.
According to SCS Software, the game's Nebraska DLC will allow you to immerse yourself in the Cornhusker State's major landmarks; you'll explore "praries, rolling hills, and the crucial Platte River" as you haul freight through the state.
SCS teases "cities large and small" in Nebraska, as well as "handcrafted unique agricultural industries", so it really does sound like you're getting a full tour of the state.
At the moment, the development team is apparently hard at work squashing bugs and adding the final layer of polish to Nebraska, so it should be ready for you to get stuck into by next week.
If you want to know what you're getting yourself into, you can check out a trailer for American Truck Simulator's Nebraska DLC right here. It'll show you just how much work SCS has put into making the state feel realistic.
If you're unfamiliar with American Truck Simulator, it's, well, a truck simulator created by the same folks behind Euro Truck Simulator.
Naturally, this one focuses on the US, with a number of states already available either in the base game or via DLC, including California, Arizona, Utah, and more.
As well as adding new states, SCS Software has also reworked old ones in the time since American Truck Simulator launched, so even if you haven't played it for a while, you're bound to discover something new if you hop back in now.
American Truck Simulator is available right now via Steam. Nebraska launches on May 16th.
