Aliens: Fireteam Elite crossplay is finally coming nearly a year after its launch, along with a bunch of other neat additions on July 26, 2022. Along with Aliens: Fireteam Elite crossplay, its upcoming Season 4: Prestige is also adding in a new progression system, another game mode, a way to deal with unwanted challenge cards, and new weapons. While this marks the end of its Year 1 Roadmap, it will also eventually be accompanied by the Aliens: Fireteam Elite - Pathogen DLC that's coming August 30, 2022. Let's take a look at it all, shall we?
What's coming with Aliens: Fireteam Elite Season 4: Prestige?
To start, Aliens: Fireteam Elite crossplay is coming to all game modes, so players on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation will be able to link up and shoot some bugs. While it should've been in the game from the beginning, better late than never, eh?
Another addition includes the new Prestige progression system that will unlock after players reach level 20. The progression system will start at rank 1 and go up to rank 100. Prestige will unlock nameplates that will show other players just how good they are, and every 10 Prestige levels players will unlock rewards that include "outfits, head accessories, gun colors, decals, emotes, nameplates, and more." Not too bad.
Restock Turrets is a new game mode being added to the game, and it will have players fending off Xenomorphs coming from every direction. It's a horde mode, basically, and players will have to keep their turrets stocked up to prevent them becoming dinner to those creepy crawlers. To help you with this, four new weapons are coming to the game:
CQW: M51 Breaching Scattergun - Armat’s Double-shot burst shotgun with wide coverage, but minimal accuracy beyond close range.
Heavy: P.649 HEL - Weyland-Yutani's High-Energy Laser. A highly accurate, long range, ammo-based energy weapon with stronger charged shots.
Rifle: SVAT-92 Sokol - The only fully automatic Sniper Rifle. Effective against multiple long distance threats, but with less stopping power than traditional sniper rifles.
Hand Gun: DKT-59 Misha - Shotgun-like hand gun with devastating short range stopping power, but frequent reloading needs and low long range accuracy.
Accompanying all of this is the Frontier Freelancer Pack, which is a paid DLC for those with the Standard Edition and free for those who have already paid for the Deluxe Edition. It will add over 20 items to the game, including Class Kit skins, emotes, decals, and more.
Last but not least is the challenge card reprocessor in the form of the newly added Fabrication Reprocessor. Players will be able to take three challene cards and roll them from a brand new one. It's guaranteed to be a different one from the one you put in, which is nice. Challenge cards are coming to every game mode, so players will have that to look forward to along with everything else coming July 26th.
