Today indie developer Eremite Games and publisher Hooded Horse announced the release date of the 1.0 version of the city builder Against The Storm.
The game will be released on PC on December 8, 2023, leaving its early access phase that lasted a couple of years since November 2021.
Today we also hear that it's coming to PC Game Pass, so subscribers of Microsoft's service will be able to play Against The Storm without any additional purchase required.
The 1.0 release will include a new game mode titled "Queen's Hand" that is designed to be a significant challenge, leaving players only one cycle to forge the Adamantine Seal.
The mode includes a sort of permadeath. If the player abandons a settlement or fails to forge the Adamantine Seal in time, all unlocks are reset. If you manage to grasp success, you'll receive the title "Queen's Hand" and will be granted an audience with the Scorched Queen herself.

If you don't have PC Game Pass, Against the Storm is already available in early access on Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store for $29.99, £24.99, €29.99, or ¥3,980 depending on where you live. It'll also land on the Windows Store when it launches.
Incidentally, it's quite popular among Steam users, who awarded it with 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” marks across over 14,000 reviews. That's certainly quite flattering and promising for the full release.
