About Adam Arter
Adam is a writer, marketing professional, and graphic designer currently based in Japan. When they're not busy learning Japanese, they're often writing thought-provoking features, reviews and guides for TechRaptor and various other sites around the web and in print. After graduating with a Master's Degree in Literature and working their way through various marketing professions, they began freelance writing in 2020 to pass time during lockdown, which has since grown into something of a secondary job.
They began writing about Kaiju movies for various fan sites, eventually moving onto to cover video games. They've written for a variety of outlets with pieces featured in Polygon, TheGamer, PLAY Magazine, RPGFan, VG247 and more. Their favourite thing to write is features focused on analysing narrative and the deepest lore of flavour text in RPGs, but they also have a great love for writing intricate critical reviews. Ask them about their favourite games or genres, and they'll probably have something to say.
In their free time, Adam enjoys creating artwork and graphics, learning languages, skateboarding, reading and writing fiction. They're also a certified Final Fantasy XIV addict, and they're always looking to discuss the intricacies of Godzilla, so feel free to tag them in adjacent discussions on Twitter.
